We love to taste some wine with food pairing. This place, not as beautiful located as most of the wineries, even ugly, is too big and to professional and too much for mass tourism. The coffee shop is nice but that does not make it a recommenden place. The wines too are not great. Choose a different tasting place ,... More

After visiting the website, we decided to experience the KWV Sensorium. On arrival we were told there was no opportunity for wine-tasting, and that we were free to view the art works and museum. We found the archive museum section very inadequate, and most of the exhibits were labeled in Afrikaans with an Afrikaans write-up, which did not help our... More

Unfortunately due to the change of ownership, we are still waiting for new liquor licences and had to suspend trading at the KWV Sensorium until it is sorted out. We do apologize for the inconvenience and do let our clients know that the KWV Wine Emporium (500 m across the railway line) is up and running 7 days a week... More

I travel a lot for work an can honestly say that KWV brandy is right up there with the best! The sensorium is a great idea and the professional friendly staff is refreshingly honest and true. It is certainly not the clinical commercial-well polished nonsense you get in so called "first world" establishments where quality is as thick as the... More

Sensorium is the art gallery/tasting room at KWV La Concorde in Main Street. There is also a coffee shop. Quiet, relaxed place to meet whilst surrounded by beautiful arts.

They offer a wide selection of great pairings, which includes Champagne and nougat, Brandy and biltong, as well as Vrandy and chocolate, etc. Loved it, really great way of trying something new, and a great and inexpensive experience with friends!! Have to do when in Cape Town/Paarl area!!

We visited KWV during the Ommiberg Festival, but have been there on numerous occasions at the Groupon Deals. I simply love all the tastings and will be visiting again in the next few weeks!!

Expect all your senses to be tickled by the Sensorium. A beautifully curated art gallery hosts South African works which can be paired with wine tastings. The brandy & chocolate pairing is a must for chocolate and brandy connoisseurs alike. If you are a novice, you will find the staff extremely helpful in guiding you through the well-crafted palate experience.

Lovely chocolate & brandy tasting, and even lovelier people. The tasting room is set in an art gallery, with a little coffee stand on the side that has the most delicious carrot cake. The gentleman at the coffee stand was extremely friendly & even went out of his way to arrange a slice of carrot cake to go... It doesn't... More

I was impressed at the different pairings that KWV had on offer. As it was later on in the afternoon we opted for the sparkling wine with nougat tasting. The only issue was the cafe had just closed so our driver couldn't purchase a coffee. It would have been nice for that to be open the same length of time.... More

This tasting room feels very dated. If you are used to modern wineries with beautiful views and comfortable furnture, that is not what you find here. You can find some very fine wines and some very ordinary wines along side them. They have interesting tastings but the rather industrial setting is not one I find inviting.

Good afternoon I am glad you enjoyed our tasting experiences. Unfortunately we are not on a pretty but in an industrial area as this is the location of our wine cellars and point of departure for our cellar tours and soon our brandy tours as well. Reason why we don't have pretty vineyards around us. However the tasting room is... More
