Just happened to come across this place while out exploring the town. What a great find! It was really nice to walk around and look at the large selection of plants and bonsai trees they had on display. It was free to look around you just have to put your name in a book.

Worth a visit and a good place to relax. Strolling around, having lunch in the restaurant. Spending some time in the shadow on a sunny day.

The gardens are amazing, so much to see and read about - impossible to cover it all in one stay. Tranquil and relaxing.

This old garden has many exotic plants and a restaurant. Although not huge, it is big enough to be very comforting and the plants are interesting and lush. You will even find a gaint Californian Redwood tree here.

Stellenbosch is a beautiful town. The gardens provide a quiet space in which to reflect on the town and surrounding wine region. I came not expecting much but will leave wanting to return.

This botanical garden in the centre of the university town might be small, but there is plenty to see and do and you could while away a couple of hours absorbing its many delights - or you could just whiz in and out and relax in the verdant outdoors cafe drinking a milkshake, scoffing cake or having a meal.
