Popular for MTB and hikers. There is entrance fee of R50. If you are a Wikd Card member you can use it here. We did the hike to the 2nd waterfall. The drive from the reserve entrance to the trail starting point is on a...More

We went on a walk to the waterfalls- being A hot day, it was quite onerous, although not long. A dip in the cool pool below the waterfall was the reward. The valley views are beautiful.

Decent scenic drive through Jonkershoek. Roads aren’t that great if you’re in a small sedan. Not sure what the entry fees are going towards other than paying the officials collecting the entry fees.

I often visit for an excellent time on the mountain bike routes with awesome single tracks - some among the pine plantations and I have many favourites, the Magic Carpet being one of them. There are also so many view points to stop and admire...More

You can hike, bike or walk. Whatever you do just do it. If you hike nice ponds along the way. If you bike make it mountain biking. Inexpensive day out.

We found the nature reserve with no problem but it wasn't desperately clear where to park as there were a load of tractors and works vehicles at the entrance and no signs to say it was the start of the Reserve but we left the...More

Friends took us out on Heritage Day to this heritage site. How befitting. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last. The only downside is that there are only toilets at the main gate. The best part - on Heritage Day, you do...More

Hiked the Tweede waterfall trail up to the second waterfall and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hike is a mellow one with just a small steep section before the second waterfall. The footing is tricky on that section with some rocky bits that can get slippery....More

I had booked all my activities from Viator, but I did leave one day open for any possibility. I met Ken Treloar, a photographer on a previous hike in Cape Town. Our energies got along, and he suggested this activity for me. I like to...More

I've been there a number of times but never encountered this - might be an issue around holidays I suppose. But people arrive and leave all the time anyway.
