Our guide, Jim Hunneyball, South African and National CATHSSETA Tourist Guide and certified to guide in all 9 provinces for history, culture and nature. He speaks English and Swedish and is a winemaker (Hunneyball Wines in Platters) with great interest in sharing his knowledge of all aspects of wine enjoyment and production. He is a Western Cape bird enthusiast and keen photographer. You can ask him what you like. Our tours are done at a leisurely pace with a focus on your enjoyment, learning and relaxation. Jim has the required professional driving license, public transport permits and insurances. Last season Jim conducted 137 “day-tours” from 1 September 2016 to 30 April 2017 and 8 “multi-day” tours for persons from 22 countries in two languages. All-in-all, they visited 52 wine estates, 12 breweries and all major Western Cape tourist destinations and several other less known.

5 Norwegian friends went to Stellenbosch and were very happy with our guide Jim. His knowledge of wine, the country of SA, and lots of other things were impressive and added much joy to our trip. Highly recommend him!

I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed our "Bubbles and Reds" wine tasting tour. By the second tasting, you REALLY start to have fun with the alcohol kicking in 😉Jim keeps the groups small and intimate to allow for a less commercial experience...More

Jim is an exilent guide. He took us to 5 different wineyards and spoke about wine and the history of South Africa. He is the best wine tasting guide ever.

We did the potpourri tasting tour. It was great, we tasted 23 wines at 5 estates and each with its own particular wine making style. Jim explained really well about the wine making processes and had lots of stories about the various places we visited....More
