Museu Municipal de Olhao has a small collection of mainly Roman artifacts together with maps and information about the history of the area; unfortunately all in Portuguese. Also has an art exhibition. Free entrance.

This was a small museum that we encountered on our daily walk through the town. It was nice to pass the time and see old maritime from the area. If your around pop in as it's free.

There were two fascinating temporary exhibitions - one of model horse drawn carriages and one of "Cubist Olhao". A permanent exhibition on the history of the town was well presented and there was information in English. Staff were friendly and helpful.
