On Tito Square in the old town. It’s a beautiful place in a lovely setting. Adults enjoyed but the children weren’t as interested. Worth a visit.

Along with the other historical buildings on Tito Square it is a visual feast. Unusual styling sits nicely and compliments the other buildings.
Only a 5 minute walk from the port terminal and on a set route around this lovely old town.
The place is increible however the time had made struggles and is not that clean at all however the place combined with other main attractions worth the travel.More

This was a very historic visit. The staff was very helpful and helped people with mobility issues avoid steps. There were a lot of photo stops. The staff helped to explain the history. This is worth a stop and nice for Koper.

Dear Mr. Hugh,
thank you very much for your excellent review. We are happy that you loved and appreciated the beauty of Praetorian Palace. We wish you safe travel and all the best.
A warm thank you from sunny city of Koper.
Koper is wonderful - my favorite of Slovenian Istria and the Palace is a microcosm of the area's varied history - renaissance, gothic, baroque, passed from one ruling nation to another. Definitely take the guided tour.

As I have groused many times about the difficulty of the TripAdvisor rating scale, this site is a perfect example of the problems one encounters in rating a site. This is clearly a "5" for Koper, but it is not a 5 relative to all...More

Otherwise it's literally a 300 yard walk, with a set of stairs up a small hill at the outset, to the palace. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions prior to your visit to Koper I will be glad to assist.
