The Praetorian Palace is a 15th-century Venetian Gothic palace and the main cultural monument of Koper. It used to be the podestà's seat, today it houses the Koper city government.

Praetorian Palace is nice venetian place from 15th century in gothic style. Inside is a city government and wedding hall.

The palace is placed on the towns main square. The medieval palace is has a musem inside. Tourist information are also in the palace.

First time here and we was scrolling around in the old town with out what to see, and we were surprise to find this beautiful area in a cold November evenuing

The most interesting medieval building in Koper. Right on the main square in the old part of town. There is a museum inside - worth a visit. Different exibitions, even an old pharmacy in the basement.

This stunning looking building from the outside was a big let down inside. The place had been renovated and modernised. There were still a few nice features.... ceilings and beams. The paintings were ok but it didn't really feel you were anywhere old and special

One of the two main attractions in Koper. The Palace forms part of the main square and is directly next to Koper Cathedral and the Bell Tower. A nice area to take some time out and have a lazy half hour people watching.

There will be a row of taxis waiting at the pier. If someone has a disability a taxi can shuttle you up the hill. Otherwise it's literally a 300 yard walk, with a set of stairs up a small hill at the outset, to the palace. I... More
