Interesting church, has been kept in a great condition. Would not recommend for elderly people or young children. Avoid going at peak times, try and get there early so you can appreciate the church without all of the tourists groups.

Not a lot to see. Quite boring. Its more of a pilgrimage place for orthodox Christians especially russian

This ancient and well-preserved church is still a place of pilgrimage for Eastern Orthodox Christians, as it once held the remains of St Nicholas.Be prepared for the throng of pilgrims around his alleged tomb. Very pleasant interior with numerous frescoes.
