I am a travel agent and I had a group of 15 adults visiting Argentina. Our guide for our two day visit in Buenos Aires was Andres Miguel. He did an excellent job. His English was very clear and he was knowledgeable about the sites and history of Buenos Aires. He was also very flexible and was able to arrange... More

We reserved private day trip to the Tigre Delta for the two of us. We were picked up at the hotel by our guide who drove us to the Tigre Delta. During this ride he provided good explanations about Buenos Aires and Argentine in general and we had several interesting stops. Once in Tigre we boarded his boat and he... More

BA is a very large and clean, cosmopolitan city with wide vistas, fresh air, fantastic restaurants and wonderful sites. Our tour guide Andres from Tours by Locals was first rate. It all caught us by surprise. Maybe because we don't hear more people rave about BA. The airfare was lower than going to Europe and once there, everything is much... More

We had toured with Andres before so when I knew we were returning to Buenos Aires I arranged for tour with Andres to the Tigre River Delta. Andres provided our group with an interesting and informative post-cruise tour of Buenos Aires and the Tigre River Delta. He met us at the cruise port with a bus with plenty of room... More

An experience not to be missed! My wife and I booked the Tango Delta tour months in advance. This morning just before 9 AM Mirta was at our hotel to collect us with a driver. On our way to the Tigre Delta we drove through and stopped in the old colonial district San Isidro and at the old Fruit Port... More

We were so thankful to have Andres tour for us. His English was very good, he was waiting for us when we arrived, he had a plan yet talked with us about some of the points of interest to help us determine a tour schedule. It was especially nice because he knew the hours of the places, the amount of... More

If you're contemplating a trip to Buenos Aries do yourself a favour and take a tour around the beautiful old mansions which skirt the DELTA and then an open boat trip up the TIGRE DELTA. The guide, Andre and and his beautiful partner Mirta, are most informed about all things local. Andre is something of an historian providing information about... More

Our guide picked us up on time and started by making us feel important and totally at ease. He is a world of information and is an expert on everything dealing with Argentina. We had a wonderful City/Suburb tour and then to the Tigre river delta. We were off a cruise and did not want the crowded, pushy ship tour.... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
