We had been on a short tour of the city early in March and we wanted to spend more time here and in Recoleta Cemetery. Both so interesting and peaceful. Just lovely

One of the most beautiful houses of worship in BA, worthy of a visit on your own. As with a major portion of the architecture it offers a European feel and gilded throughout it is reminiscent of Italian churches and cathedrals. A quiet stroll affords...More

Interesting church, belonging to a cloister, when the Recoleta cemetery still used to be the orchard. Unfortunately, the tower wasn't open for the public until a Sunday in April. The views over the cemetary must be spectacular.

This beautiful old church should not be viewed just as an add-on to the cemetery next door as it is well worth a visit in its own right. It has a very interesting history and does not suffer from being quite as overly ornate as...More

I have seen may churches in my travels. I would consider this one average for a Catholic Church. But it is clean. We waited for the 3 o'clock changing of the guard but as usual they were running late and we left before it happend.

As others have noted, it's definitely worth a stop if you're already touring the cemetery next door. I would also agree that the cloisters are worthwhile (and offer a few minutes longer in the shade on a hot day!) Entrance to the cloisters was a...More

This is a very nice church to visit, had a chance to attend the Sunday Mass. Not too crowded, just about the right to enjoy.

The church is as described by others. I cannot comment further as we only saw the church from the outside. There was a service in progress when we visited so it was not appropriate for us to enter though we did enjoy the sound of...More

The church is OK, the museum you can find some religious objects but it is not possible to visit the catacombs like they advertise.

Nice, decent church. However, the recolects who built this in the 1700s did not spend as much time and effort on carving the walls itself. Unlike the churches in Europe. Still, when visiting the cemetery, one should see this church.
