lovely old location, a bit like in 68, where yo can learn tango ir watch people learning, and as of 11 pm milonga time brings the crowd on the floor. if you are lucky, senior musicians start singing, together with young super performers on the guitar... if you want tango rooted in life, dont miss catedral!

It was Tuesday. Supposed to be very busy according to other reviews. But it was not. Many tables remained empty until 2am when we left. Maybe because of strong rain outside. We enjoyed the informal atmosphere, music and the dancing couples. Don't expect fancy place; this is not! But try to be a part of this atmosphere and you will... More

We rolled in here too late (14:30) to get the best Tango watching experience but were still blown away by the scene. It's a huge venue full of locals, and legit Tango dancers. The band was incredible and bartenders very friendly. The location is a bit off the beaten path and it may be tough to get a taxi home... More

Special place. Converted grand building that feels like a barn. Can go at any time and just hang out and have a drink and watch people dancing. Very casual and cheap. Its wonderfully soothing just sitting at a table and watching beginners to professionals hitting the floor. The staff are friendly and drinks super cheap. No wifi tho. GO HERE... More

This place was awesome, knocking back drinks in this dimly lit venue whilst watching the locals dancing. The atmosphere is awesome and it felt like younger crowd than a traditional Milonga and a bit edgier. Be prepared to dance a bit - but also be prepared to be outshone by the local talent. Great fun in an awesome venue!

Yes, the floor is not the best and the toilets not the cleanest, but the atmosphere is really authentic and there were people from all ages, some tourists but mostly local. the furniture / decoration is funky bohemian. Drinks are cheap as well. They have sometimes live music as well. They offer classes in the evenings and before the milonga,... More

Great tango lesson, even with a substitute teacher! We learned the basics super fast and were able to spend the rest of the night dancing with the more pro locals. The place is super bohemian: a great big warehouse decorated super weirdly and in a very fun way. Drinks are cheapish, but what matters is that the atmosphere is really... More

This very old building with a wood roof, cavernous interior, and dance instructors is a good place to learn to dance the tango (or just watch those who are learning). Food is not the focus here though beer and basic food is available. Arrive before 10:00 p.m. for a discounted entry; but, the musical performance does not start until much... More

There is a reason this place is rated so highly. The vibe at la catedral is amazing. Watching the dancers is mesmerizing! As an added bonus the sangria is cheap and delicious. They also serve food. The pizza is cheap, not amazing but cheap. There is an entrance fee (a few dollars) and if you get there early you can... More

I took a class here as a a beginner, and as a beginner, I mean as someone who does not know how to dance and knows nothing about tango and I still had a great time!!! Took the Saturday class at 7:30 with Pablo and Cassandra and they were great instructors. There is no need to arrive as a pair-... More
