Take the drive on Bach road around to the dam.

take Bach road on north side of Villa Carlos Paz and drive 30 minutes to the dam ( El Dique). Lots of vistas and view points to stop and look. You can completely circle the lake... read more

take Bach road on north side of Villa Carlos Paz and drive 30 minutes to the dam ( El Dique). Lots of vistas and view points to stop and look. You can completely circle the lake back to Villa Carlos Paz in under 2 hours with stops along the way.

A drive around the lake affords some lovely views. It certainly breaks the dryness of this area of San Carlos Paz

We just returned from Villa Carlos Paz. YES......it is April and out of season for lake activities. The areas we walked around town were dirty and smelly. Perhaps further away there ARE beautiful areas to water ski,surf,kayak,canoe or sail. But I would imagine it is a ZOO in season......being January and February. Perhaps THE BEST time to enjoy Carlos Paz... More

Beautiful place, not so far away from the city centre (that is rather ugly). Great place to hang out with friends, to sit down and relax watching the river and mountains

My friend and I stumbled upon is this off-the-beaten path Lake outside of Cordoba, Argentina. We found Argentinians enjoying life on this beautiful lake. As seemingly the only Americans for miles around, we caught a glimpse of Argentinian families enjoying an evening walking by the lake, playing soccer, relaxing, and otherwise enjoying life.
