This place is one of the most beautiful of Mendoza. If you are lazy about walking, dont be , because it worthwhile every step inside Aconcagua park. In 2 hours walking you reach the river and the view breathtaking!

The day trip to Aconcagua park is highly recommendable during your stay in Mendoza. I took an excursion with a local tourist company ( the name is Turismo el cristo) that is ok, you will be lucky if your guide is professional otherwise you will...More

We went up to Aconcagua Park as part of a full day high country tour. It's spectacular countryside and only minutes from the Chilean border. Recommend you do this as part of a tour. Check out "Mendoza Andes" under 'Tours' in the Things to do...More

Great mountain and easy to get to. You have to rent a car in Mendoza, but the drive is easy and the roads are in good shape. There is some truck traffic on the road though.

Hi zepned44, I am interested in a day trip from Santiago to Parque Provincial Aconcagua by car. But I heart that the border crossing between Chile and Argentina can be miserable. So how was the border crossing during your trip? I see on the map that the Argentine border office for people going from Chile to Argentina is in Hostería Puente del Inca, which is not on the way from Santiago to the Parque. Does that mean you did not need to go across the border check on your way? And how about the way back? You will definitely need to go through Chilean border office on the way back Santiago, but is there an Argentine border office on the way from Parque to Santiago? I don't have experience crossing border by car so I need some information for my preparation. Highly Appreciate!

I've never crossed the border there but in my experience, if all your papers are in order it shouldn't be that big of a deal. The drive from Mendoza to the border (passing Aconcagua park, Christ the Redeemer, etc) is... More

My husband and I with our son (who will be 16 months) are planning to visit Mendoza for a destination wedding in April 2017 and would like to know is this location family friendly? We are not looking to hike mountain but to be able to experience some of the views with a walking 16 month old. Thanks Jackie

It's an easy hike, but a long ride! Not much else to do out there that would be entertaining for a toddler.
