We got to puerto pañuelo by bus from bariloche and rented bikes to do the circuit. We were told 4 hours would be enough time, but there are some reasonably tough climbing involved. I would have enjoyed the circuit by car, stopping at the many amazing panoramic view points. The bike... for trained younger people!

Be sure to take some good hiking or walking shoes and a camera. It's beautiful and lots of nice little stops and hiking trails along the way. You can do this circuit by car, bus, or hitchhiking. There are many hitchhikers along the way. Stop in and see the historic LLao LLao hotel for afternoon high tea. Be sure to... More

If you rent a car, this is the perfect way to see numerous vistas and parks right outside of Bariloche's center.

We rented bikes from Cordillera Bike Rental & Tours. They were very helpful and reassuring. I haven't been on a bike in years, and I managed to complete the curcuito chico (with some walking the bike up the last section of some of the hills). Other reviews had me very nervous about the difficulty level, but it's not as bad... More

We enjoyed this drive very much. Stopped for pictures several times along the road. Also there are a few breweries that are very good along the way. Take your time and definitely don't miss this!

We opted to do the Circuito Chico by bike. The location is gorgeous with plenty of awe-inspiring/breath-taking views along the way. Be forewarned that the bike ride is pretty difficult; we walked the bikes during many points (two in-shape nearly 30-somethings). In the end, we finished in about 4 hours with plenty of stops along the way, and was totally... More

There is not a lot of point in taking the short circuit unless you are going to go up the chairlift on Mt Campanario. From there you get the point; views of lakes and mountains in all directions. On our day the weather was not too kind and we had cloudy skies, high wind and spots of rain, but it... More

The views and scenery are magnificent. Otherwise not much to see. A little church, a ski lift ride for a nice view which I didn't take. But the Andes and lakes make it well worth the visit.

I took the collectivo and got off the stop just after Campanario and rented a bike for the day. Get there fairly early or make a reservation to not be disappointed during high season. I took about 5.5hours on the circuit and loved it! Pretty hilly and some parts on a very busy road so you need to be careful.... More
