My wife and I took an excursion which involved two walks on the island which clearly included a lovely boat trip. We found the trip really interesting especially regarding the habitation and the history of the trees. Our trip was a half day which we managed to add on to our half day excursion around Barilochi making a wonderful full... More

You can visit it taking any of the boat rides. Views of the lake and mountains are amazing. You can take a walk through the forest and enjoy a great ride. You can even swim at the beach.

We went to Isla Victoria with a guide from R Crusoe. We had a full day excursion where we visited another nature preserve and this island. We hiked for approximately 10 km. The guide gave us so much information about both islands and took us to areas where the general public did not get to go. The views were stunning.... More

This was a stopping off point on the way back from the myrtle forest excursion and it was mildly interesting. Just a nice island, but a good guide adds a lot of interest that the casual visitor would not get.

Raul our English speaking tour guide was excellent. Since we were a very small group he made sure we were away from the crowd, giving us enough time to relax on the beach. He was very informative answering questions and making it fun for everyone. He offered to take family pictures and was very sensitive to everyone's needs. Very professional,... More

Wonderful nature. We did choose the long tour. This tour is only in Spanish which the travel agent at the hotel hadn't informed us, but luckily the best guide also spoke very good English and was extremely knowledgeable. She made sure that we also got all the infos given. Bring swimming suit as there is a possibility to have a... More

The fun is in the ride. The boat trip is beautiful. The lake is huge and smooth with greenery all around. You spend about two hours on the water. Go if you have a chance.

We were dropped off at a port on this lovely island for almost two hours as part of a tour on the Modesta Victoria, a charming boat built in 1937. Apparently, we were the only English-only speakers on the boat, and so one of the guides gave us tips on how best to use our time on the island. So... More

None of the walking tracks are clearly marked. Some were closed off. Everyone told us the chairlift is a site to see and was working, when there it was obvious it hadn't been working in years. Rubbish everywhere around it. Many derelict buildings which were apparently meant to be museums. Tour was advertised as bilingual, was only in Spanish. Massive... More

The boat trip only gave us an hour to hike. Beautiful island that was a training base for the argentine park service. You can camp here if you get approval from park service. Requires entry fee to come to island. Would not be good on rainy day.
