Shiny, informative and well laid out museum with a few nice little films and a good level of information in Spanish and English. It's just too expensive (300 pesos = £15 each) for quite a small museum - we read every sign and watched every film in an hour and a half. The shuttle bus leaves from the tourist bureau... More

Anyone visiting El Calafate must be there to see the Perito Moreno glacier. Where better to understand this and other glaciers than the Glaciarium with its history, displays, exhibits and films. Our group found it fascinating and enlightening adding much to our general knowledge and quite a few words to our vocabulary. And for a bit of light relief, a... More

If you have time to see the Glaciarium before the National Park it would certainly help to put your trip into perspective. It is an informative introduction to the glaciers - their formation, evolution and discovery. There are good exhibits, some audio-visual and interactive - and an ice-bar at the end of your visit for a bit of fun at... More

No better activity in El Calafate on a rainy day. We learned a lot. At first I wondered why they would build this museum so far from downtown. When the free shuttle dropped us off I understood - the view!

A museum that is kind of outside of El Calafate but you can get there with a free shuttle that goes from a parking lot in El Calafate to the museum. It's a small museum with some interesting information on glaciers. You can do the tour in one hour. It is ok if you want to know about glaciers.

We enjoyed the museum exhibits and especially the 3-D movie. There is a free shuttle from downtown that runs more frequently than the stated one hour. I would recommend going early before there is a big line.

Well worth visiting before or after you've gone to the Glacier Park. It answers nearly every question that you could think of and more besides. The visuals are very effective if at times overwhelming with the abundace of information they provide. The films could be better, particularly the 3D version that's shown about every hour--it doesn't convey as much information... More

Spanish and English glacier museum that explains why and the how glaciers are different. There is an explanation why there is calving on one glacier and why another glacier will fall in a swoop. This is a rare type of museum so if interested in the subject you any well enjoy it.

The Glaciarium is good however i wouldnt make it the focus of any day, there is interesting information which can be seen in 1 hour. Because it is a way out of the city centre they have shuttles which take you, I dont think it is worth the price you pay.

We went in the Glaciarium in a rainy morning. We went before in Perito Moreno but it was raining. After visiting Glaciarium and learn about glaciers we came back to visit Perito Moreno and it was much better. So learn about before visit the glaciers. It will be more interesting. The place gives us a lot of interesting information about... More
