Excellent hike. Trails were sporadic on marking. Switched trails several times not knowing where they were headed. Got to the glacier. Not much left. The view from atop of the old chair lift was spectacular though

I walked from the centre of town all the way upto the glacier. It's a demanding walk at times but we'll worth the views of Ushuaia. The glacier is on the small side, but the valley is a wonderful walk all the way to the...More

I visited this glacier in the winter. The walk is quite hot with jacket, thermals and beanie on but they are needed when you get to the top of the walk. Also, you need to continue past the top of the ski lift. There is...More

The worst place to ski, no parking lot and horrible attendance. All people who work there seems don't want to have customers! We tried twice to rent equipments to our son.

It is easy and not expensive to get to the chairlift, a very slow one, but a nice ride up. We walked down after approaching the glacier. It is a lovely walk with view of the town and cruise ship.

After our navigation tour we took a taxi to the tea house and from there we started the hike uphill to the observation point. If you are not used to do hiking it can be hard. But the good thing is that you can go...More

After a boring, steep slog up an old road (possibly part of an old ski run) the trail becomes a real trail and traverses beautiful meadows, rocks and scree. You can get pretty close to the glacier. It is convenient to town and easy to...More

We took a taxi out of town, on the advice of Tourist Information. There is then a choice of paths up to the glacier. On the walk, there are lovely views of Ushuia and the Beable Channell, in addition to the glacier itself. Well woth...More

There are different answers to this question... If you walk up from the center of town, it takes quite a while. It's maybe an hour and a half up to the chairlift (as it's all uphill). Or you could skip this part by taking a... More
