An historic gem in the city

If you don't have time to travel to some of the Old West towns then definitely visit this beautifully, and historically restored home in downtown Phoenix.

Went there today for a very nice Memorial Day Service. You can tour a historic house and the various cemeteries nearby which contain the remains of many of the Phoenix early settlers. Recently Boy Scouts working on their Eagle Scout Badges did a masterful reconstruction of the walk ways. Also visit the nearby USS Arizona Memorial.

There is WW1,WW2,Vietnam, Korean War,Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom. USS Arizona and USS Missouri Memorials. The grounds were well kept. Also AZ Peace Officers and Canine Memorial. It is across the street from the... More

This at one time was a old MASONIC Cemetery found by Arizona Lodge No. 2 from over on Monroe & 3th Ave. On Memorial Day they and the Knights Templar & several other groups march into the park to remember their fallen Brothers and Companions. Really nice event that gets little notice by most in Arizona.
