Sonoran Desert's Premiere Guided Hiking Company. 1/2 Day and customized hiking for all skill levels (or no skills at all!) Trail guides are all First Aid/CPR certified. Safety is first followed by one of the most unique activities in the great Sonoran Desert. Many mountains and trails are used throughout the Valley of The Sun. Guided hikes range from 2-4+ hours, depending on the trail and the group. Guests learn about the native flora and fauna and about the ancient Native American peoples who made this arid land home for many years. Trivia games are played with questions such as does it snow in Phoenix? What was the lowest and highest temperatures recorded? Do planes get grounded when it's "too hot?" The views from atop many of the mountains are absolutely stunning. We also offer themed guided hikes in Tucson, 2 hours to our south in Pima County. For more details, call our Guest Services office.

I spent 8 days in December, 2015, hiking with Hike in Phoenix. I had four different guides over the course of the 8 days, with mixed results. When booking the trip, I made it clear that I am faster, and able to hike farther and longer than most men my age. One of my guides, an elderly man, was simply... More

Camelback had been on my list of places I want to go to for a very long time. Had a very good time going up the mountain. As noted in other reviews, Fred communicated with me very well about what to expect and how to be dressed. Heidi, my guide, did a great job guiding me through the trails, explaining... More

If you are visiting Phoenix and looking for a safe, great hike...check out Hike In Phoenix! Fred's communication was amazing! My original guide got sick & he made sure another guide was available. He was in constant contact with me, making sure I was prepared for my safety, leaving info at my hotel to make sure it went very smoothly.... More

Started this hike at U.S. Airways Center, and ended at Chase field with a great view of the stadium and lunch at TGI Fridays. The hike was very informative, included a free tour of the Police Museum, as well as the Wells Fargo Museum. There are so many theaters, restaurants, parks, and shopping in the city.

Maureen and Bob M. If you like to stay in shape and want to get into hiking, book a hike with "Hike in Phoenix." We had never really done any serious hiking before and we went online and searched for hikes and guided tours in the Phoenix area (we didn't know enough about hiking/Phoenix in late June, although we are... This hike was awesome! The hiking guides, Erica and Matt were very professional and knowledgeable. As an inexperienced mountain hiker, I would never do a hike like this alone and "Hike in Phoenix" made my goal achievable and very enjoyable. I highly recommend "Hike in Phoenix" to anyone looking for a good workout coupled with wonderful scenery. Robert B

I moved to Tucson within the past year and don't know anyone here. I'm a real outdoor junkie, so I was eager to get hiking and get information about some of the best trails in the area. Hike in Tucson lived up to my expectations. I experienced two hikes that showed me beautiful trails. The guides provided great tips and... More

I never knew I would learn so much on a hike in the Sonoran Desert! Our "Hike in Tucson' guide guide knew a great deal about the Hohokam and gave us a series of informative talks at each archeological site we came across during our hike. It was fascinating to hear about the landscape and how the Hohokam used every... More

My husband and I had made a sudden decision to go to Grand Canyon via Phoenix, and we booked the hike in Phoenix through Expedia.com. Fred took care of us from the start, and even gave us a lot of tips of places to eat, where to go, what to wear, what we need to be aware of since we... More
