Tons of memorials. Very nice grounds ideally located in front of the capital building. Moving Vietnam Memorial. Shame there are tons of sketchy homeless people around the memorials, we would have liked to visit them all, but it became a security concern. The homeless are...More

Pleasant weather makes enjoyable getaways, and ground transportation readily available. City Center, everything is in walking distance. Do take some time and venture outside the metro Phoenix area.

This is a unique and beautiful park honoring prominent Arizona citizens and memorializing significant events and wars. All very tastefully and respectfully done. Meandering paths take you through beautiful lawns to various memorials with interesting plaques explaining the significance of each. The USS Arizona anchor,...More

This memorial was extensive, impressive, and so well presented. There were so many representations, I could have spent literally hours looking around. The K9 memorial moved me, as well as the beautiful McFarland memorial. Of course, the 'Arizona' is such a huge part of our...More

I love that this park memorializes many groups of people (and even police dogs) giving each one an amazing amount of respect.

While the statutes of military war veterans are very moving, the one I thank most people should see is the one to the NAVAJO CODE TALKERS. Their story is one of the greatest of WWII. One more that is on my list of must see,...More

Many years ago I visited our state capitol on my birthday. It was the first of many b-days that I decided to go somewhere I had not been before. It was the only time I was ever at the state capitol. Over the years I...More

Absolutely. Bring your puppy. Bring a blanket and a picnic lunch and sit under one of the big trees. However, I do not believe that dogs are allowed in the Capital Museum. Cheers Robert
