We had a great time with Canyon Creek Ranch and our guide, Rubin. Great day, very entertaining. The whole family really enjoyed the day...great time, great food, plenty of entertainment - games and shooting. Kids had a blast! Horses were great as well!

We came to this ranch the day after visiting the Grand Canyon. It totally lives up to its excellent reviews. I don't know if we would have had as great of a visit if Rusty hadn't been our cowboy, but he sure was knowledgeable, fun and easy going!! The horse ride was gorgeous. I rode Gizzy and she was my... What a great experience! I did not feel badly about my daughters missing a couple of days of school when we went to this ranch and they got to learn about the "wild, wild west" in person! They learned about so many different things that they would NEVER learn in school. Sam was our personal wrangler and what a sweetie.... More

Must do. Away from civilization. Great people. As close as you get to authentic cowboy experience. Cowboys are pleasant and courteous. Horses are well equipped and trained.

Our timeshare has two options for horseback riding... but only one was an entire experience. We signed up for rides and lunch at Canyon creek, and couldn't be happier with the whole thing. Make reservations ahead of time, and they will set up to meet you at a convenient spot off the highway, lead you back to the ranch. You... More

Want to learn about the desert, horses, the old time life in a western town, the creatures found in the desert? Our family experience with the kids and grandkids was one for our memory book! We watched as the kids and grandkids rode off into the desert with Rusty, our guide for the day! We learned about, and experienced first... More

I highly recommend this to all ages/groups looking for an authentic western experience! Our wrangler for the day was Scott and he took good care of our gang of 11; he was very entertaining and genuine! We booked about 1 week in advance. We arrived to the address provided then followed a pickup truck for about 5 miles to the... More

So glad we were lucky enough to find Canyon Creek and our awesome wrangler/cowboy SAM. We learned from SAM as we adventured the Sonora desert- geology, culture, botany- you name it! We ran into wild cat tracks, found quartz rocks a plenty- but not as much gold as the "leaverite" rocks! Loved Sam's original poetry and the overall hospitality of... More

My daughter & I wanted to go horseback riding. We chose this place because of the great reviews on Trip Advisor. It's about 30-40 minutes outside of Phoenix, and so you get to enjoy the desert drive. You are met at the Chillean's BBQ, which wasn't that impressive - so don't eat there! You follow the rep to the parking... More
