AZ hummer Tours is an off-road adventure company that provides a personalized, entertaining and educational tour of the beautiful Sonoran Desert. We have two different tour vehicles available: The Hummer, where you will ride as a passenger throughout your excursion, and the amazingly agile Polaris Ranger RZR4 which seats four people very comfortably and you get to drive for a hands-on, wind in your face experience. Both tours you will be with a very experienced guide that will teach about the flora and fauna as well as history of the area. Hopefully they won't get lost...

We had a blast on our Hummer desert tour with Kevin as our guide! Kevin gave us some desert survival tips, like what types cactus are edible and which are not. We got to try some cholla that "attacked" my son. He told us a lot about the flora and fauna of the Sonoran desert and showed us some of... More

Went out on a Saturday morning with our tour guide Kevin who was made this expierence worth the trip. It was amazing he showed how to eat jumping cholla cactus which didn't have any type of flavor. He also showed another kind of cactus that tastes like grapes. Then showed Hohocom ruins. After that the real fun began, Kevin had... More

We took an afternoon tour that concluded at sunset, Our guide, Calvin, was exceptional - he gave us an abundance of local color and history, pointing out some little-known points of interest and fascinating details. From survival tips, to fun trivia, Calvin really made the trip special and we will carry many happy (and a few hilarious) memories from this... More

We went for a tour and loved every minute!! Our guide Calvin was so knowledgeable about the desert, the plants, the state, the people - really fabulous! I frankly did not expect that much education! The ride itself was really fantastic - so fun! Even some of the steep hills - about as much of a theme park ride I... More

Kevin was a great guide. My 11 yo son and I both loved our tour. Kevin was very knowledgeable, brought us to a great place to view sunset, and showed us some American Indian ruins. My son was thrilled when he took a rattle snake out of his bag. Highly recommend.

Kevin was our tour guide and did a great job of keeping us comfortable, helping us see the desert, and learning about the many plants and animals. He also showed us a rattlesnake and a tarantula up close and personal. Highly interactive and kept my 7-year-old engaged for the entire 5 hours. Highly recommend!

The AZ hummer tour was fantastic. A simple phone was all it took to set-up the date and time for the tour. Mike contacted us the day before tour to confirm and send us the location for pick-up. It was fun driving the Polaris Rzr. He came prepared with jackets for us as it was a little cool in the... More

We saw the desert like we've never seen before. Flowing creek we couldn't cross, grass and beautiful flowers -- in the desert? Thanks to mother nature's strange behavior this year! A once in a lifetime opportunity. We rode in the open back of a hummer that had seating for 8. Our guide Kevin was exceptionally knowledgeable about the plants and... More
