We did the 5 mile loop. Most of the trail is really cool, but the part that parallels Peavine trail is along a manufacturing building of sorts. Don't let that short portion stop you, the northwestern and northeastern portion is very fun and really cool....More

I have camped in Ca, Tx, Mn, Germany, & Bavaria & none of them surpassed my trip to Watson Lake. The only thing missing was the sound of a river rushing by. The trails among the granite rocks are amazing & well groomed. There's plenty...More

Watson Lake is a really quick drive from the center of town. It only costs $3 to get in. There isn't much parking down by the lake though, but plenty further up near a park area. This is definitely not a lake I'd want to...More

Amazing place to hike, camp, dream and explore. The rock formations are formidable and inviting. Nice people in the camping area, friendly, and add to the experience. Great place.

This can be a bit of a hiking challenge if you try to go around the entire lake. But you don't have to do that to enjoy a good hike and lovely scenery.

Watson Lake, with its granite boulders rising all around the lake, is an amazing place to visit. Canoe, kayak, hike... Enjoy the lake. Around every bend is another awesome sight.

You're not allowed to swim in Watson Lake as there is a lot of kelp and weed that might trap a swimmers' legs. Same goes for neighboring Willow lake.

I recall paying about $8 to enter the area, which included access to the kayak rentals. No parking fee beyond that. It is first come first served, but I think I recall hearing you could reserve something. I was there late... More
