Thought you knew that Prescott was a arid, desert habitat? Guess again. This set of trails located right behind a strip mall and subdivision provide a great getaway through the Prescott National Forest. Kudos!

Recreational lake close to downtown Prescott. Easy trail around the lake. One area has picnic tables and grills. There is also a boat rental facility open seasonally. We visited on a week day and it was very peaceful and empty.

Beautiful lake with nice trails just a few minutes from town. You can walk or hike, rent kayaks, or fish. Small general store and German restaurant that has tasty food, though it isn't open every day.

We took a large and small dog to hike around this beautiful lake. The trail is a little rough in spots but good shoes and a little patience will see you through. The picnic grounds are lovely and payment is honor system.

There are lots of trails for the stroller. Bring your food with you. There are no rentals. This area is very wooded, but beautiful if you like nature. I would bring lots of water and sunscreen. There are picnic areas.
