We scored! We saw the golden eagle. We could not find its' man made nest. As a hike, it is quite easy. You can start clockwise and toward the middle it gets a little hairy for those without hiking shoes. We crossed the lake's creek...More

Nice lake, boating, hiking and camping is all available at Lynx Lake Recreation Area. Only a few miles off highway 69 and shops and restaurants. There is a store and restaurant at the North end of Lynx Lake.

We found this hike when visiting Prescott and fell in love. I would say we did this walk around the lake at least 4 out 7 days of the week during the month long visit. Loved the views and trail. Part of it is paved...More

The trail around the lake is too narrow. You cannot fit a double stroller, kids, dogs, fishing gear and normal people all on this trail. Plus, you have senior citizens walking too slow and it's too narrow to pass them without having too make a...More

We have been to Lynx lake by the store many times, but never ventured to the other side of the lake. What a special little place. They honor the National Parks passes or the fee is self service $5. The park hosts are a wonderful...More

This hidden gem is between Prescott and Prescott Valley. A nice smaller lake in the woods with fishing, canoeing and hiking trails. Campsites are also available. Fun day trip.

There are lots of trails for the stroller. Bring your food with you. There are no rentals. This area is very wooded, but beautiful if you like nature. I would bring lots of water and sunscreen. There are picnic areas.
