    Wonderful Experience!
I've lived in the area for over a few years now, and finally went to visit recently. What a wonderful place, we've been back 2x in the past month! We went on a guided tour and the volunteers are so knowledgeable about all of the animals they have. I highly recommend if you are an animal lover like myself!

    Wonderful experience
This was such a great experience. It is obvious how much the staff loves these animals. We went as a group of 6 adults. There was so much excellent information about the animals and their mission to return as many animals as possible to the wild. Those that can’t be returned are well taken care of. We all learned so much and had a chance to see some wonderful animals. I would definitely recommend a visit here or for the public to donate to this great cause.

A Great Cause and A Great Time
This is a great place to support. They main goal is rehabilitation, but for the animals that become comfortable with humans, they find their home here. The guide was very knowledgeable and got us a great view of the animals. You can tell how much they care for the animals.

A beautiful place with an equally beautiful mission
This weekend I took my boys, 18 and 9, to Southwest Wildlife for a joint presentation with AZ Game and Fish. We learned so much about all the native desert animals from our tour guide, Diane, followed by an informative talk about bats by Cheyenne. The animals were up close and engaging and easily seen, not to mention extremely healthy. I am so happy that this center exists for the sake of the animals and also to educate people to love and protect it.

    Outstanding experience!
What an amazing visit to the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center! It was an enlightening, informative, and inspiring experience. Our tour guide Marcia was full of great stories and knowledge about the many animals who live at the sanctuary, as well as the history of this wonderful non-profit. It was one of the highlights of our trip by far. We give this our very highest recommendation as a must see in the Phoenix area!

A great way to learn about the wildlife of the region
What feels like a ma-and-pa run wildlife sanctuary is actually a well staffed, well equipped, highly reputable rescue organization. I’m so glad I booked a tour at the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center! Although (for the animals’ welfare) the only animals they keep on display are those not eligible for release into the wild, there are plenty to see! Birds, bears, cougars, wolves, bobcats, foxes, and (my favorite) the region-specific javelinas. The tour was very informative and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. What a great organization and fantastic place. A highlight of my trip to Scottsdale!

    Educational and fun!
We had a great time visiting the wildlife conservation center and learning about all of the fantastic things that they do. This was definitely an educational experience, and we were very impressed. Our tour guide was extremely informative. This is not a zoo, and their main goal is to reintroduce the animals back into the wild whenever possible. This was a great experience for our family, including our young adult children. This is not something I would recommend for little kids as it seems they could lose interest and/or become somewhat bored during the tour. But I certainly recommend it for everyone else!

The woman who gave the tour from New Jersey was very enthusiastic and funny. She did a great job keeping us engaged. She should be given a raise. ;)

My husband & I really enjoyed the tour. The guides were very knowledgeable. We were lucky & most of the animals were visible. It makes me sad that these animals can no longer be in the wild; but I am thankful for the safe & comfortable environment that SWCC provides. The experience was great & I would highly recommend it; but, it is probably best for adults, it can be hot & 2 hours wouldn't be good for children.

Very impressive. I appreciate all you are doing to conserve our wildlife diversity. Your docent was very knowledgeable and informative. I was partial to the wild cats, mountain lions, and bobcats. Also enjoyed the bears and the African tortoise. I hope you can continue providing this valuable service.

Amazing tour with our guide Marcia! Learned all about how they rescue, rehabilitate and release animals back into the wild. These folks are so caring and the volunteers work hard to keep the animals happy and healthy. We got to see bears, bobcats, coyotes, foxes, owls, deer, javelina and a huge tortoise! Don’t miss this experience!

A must see place in Phoenix Metro area for tourists and locals. You will see Arizona's amazing variety of mammals and learn how the Conservancy rescues and rehabilitates native wildlife. I have been there 3 times with each experience fascinating, looking forward to future visits.

Found this place after googling things to do for our trip here! Our tour guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. We went to the 8am tour and it was perfect to do for us visitors who aren’t used to the AZ heat. We loved the animals and hearing about their background. Super nice place. Would come back!
