This can be found off H 179 on Verde Valley School Road. The last mile or so is a dirt track and the road ends at what is known as Red Rock crossing where there is a small car park. Walk the trails to the right of the road to Cathedral Rock and you will find the trail takes you... More

Jim is a warm, friendly and knowledgeable person who understands the beauty of the red rocks in Sedona. He designed a special hiking tour for our guests in Sedona last week. He arrived on time to pick up the group and showed them some unique hiking spots with wildlife surrounding them. My guests were so happy that Jim at Sedona... More

My wife and I took a detour trip here in early October due to the Grand Canyon shutdown. And there were no regrets at all. Sedona is beautiful and going on the hiking trails is an absolute must. There are many trails to take depending on your preference of difficulty. As a city dweller being in the desert environment, especially... More

Its an easy, about 1,5 hour hiking tour, good for hot days in August, close to the river with shadows :)

My husband and I went to Sedona for a week with no plans except a one day tour of the Grand Canyon. The first day we were there we went to the Information Center in the center of uptown Sedona. They made a suggestion that we hike the West Fork in Oak Creek Canyon. The trail was rated easy to... More

I live in AZ and love to get away from the hot Phoenix to visit Sedona. It still can be 109 in the summer, but worth it. Swimming in Oak Creek Canyon River or Slide rock...becareful. Polluted water.

We hiked several trails around Sedona's beautiful mountains and gorges, and did a bit of off-roading, as well. Sedona is stunning... breathtaking... and rejuvenating. I highly recommend spending a day to a week in this area to recharge and enjoy the great outdoors.

Jim and Summit were perfect guides for this beginner hiker. I did two hikes with Jim, each was about 4 hours and included a meal. The hikes definitely pushed me to my limits but what a fantastic feeling of satisfaction after the hike! He kept my pace, narrated the scenery and watched out for my safety the entire way. In... I went hiking with Jim and his dog to lost canyon to check out some indian ruins. Jim was an awesome guide and interesting to talk to. His dog is a Siberian husky who is cool as anything. While he is fond of the dog he certainly does not go overboard with his attention to him. In fact, he clearly... More

My friend and I hired Jim of Sedona Hiking Adventures & Tours (www.sedonahikingadventures.com). We're not very experienced hikers, so we asked him to layout a day that would provide us with a hike that we could be proud of and a great view. We took a 4-5 hour tour that had us off-roading in a jeep and hiking to a... More
