Took the Chuckwagon trail and it says it is strenuous but if you are in decent shape it is easy to moderate. Lots of great scenery and also some wooded areas and streams to see local vegetation.

GO EARLY & you won't be disappointed. If you take HIGH Clearance vehicle you'll knock off 2 miles to your hike. Key to driving HIGH clearance vehicle on unpaved & very rocky Dry Creek Road is to crawl slowly & carefully. Trail is a moderate 1.8 R/T from Trail Head with 400' elevation gain. Hike is gradual first 3/4 of... More

My wife and I hiked the trail, and ventured out to the middle of the bridge for a great picture. It was an amazing hike. The rock scramble to get there was steep, but worth the effort.

We rented an ATV and our first stop was Devils Bridge. I didn't make it all the way, but half of our group did. No matter how far you go on this hike, the view of the surrounding area is beautiful and well-worth the visit!

This is a challenging climb and it took us (not so nimble climbers) about 3.5 hours round trip. The shortest entry from a paved road is from Mescal Trailhead but if the normally dry riverbed is filled with a lot of quick-moving water, you'll have to get a bit wet. From there, you hook up with Chuckwagon Trail (go north)... More

For years Sedona, AZ., has been voted one of the ten most beautiful places in the world. Hike Devil's Bridge Trail and you will experience why! First tip: Don't Come if you do not bring a camera or smartphone with a camera. The pictures you will take will be pictures you revisit time and time again. Second tip: Arrive early!... More

Get there early so you can get a parking spot in the lot. Take a nice walk down a rough fire road to the trailhead. From there it gets a little more vertical but it is well worth it in the end. The last 10 minutes is the hardest, don't give up you are almost there! The walk back is... More

Since parking is scarce we opted to do the Mescal Trail (which wasn't clearly marked at all, unfortunately. We wasted about 20 minutes finding our way until we discovered we had to cross the creek [go barefoot]). It's a really nice hike with views of vegetation different than the others. Allow for at least 2 1/2 hours for the round... More

Great hike. As some others have said, it's a calm walk (1.0m) until the start of the trail. Best if you had an ATV or off-road Jeep to get you to the start as after that it's a 0.7 gradual then steep ascend. It rained all during our hike and we didn't find it too difficult to climb up or... More
