SUrprising church, with an nice atmosphere, even if like me you are not a believer. There are not too many parking lots... better go in the morning!

We tried to visit this place and were encountered twice with a very rude guy who patrols it in a golf cart. He blocked traffic for everyone multiple times to help a particular truck park at the very top and was very rude to people, even running out in the public road area to put his hands up stopping people... I still can't figure out how they built this chapel directly into the mountainside. It is awesome...no other words to describe it. I love the gift shop as well in the lower level. The birdseye view is spectacular.

Even for non religious visitors this place is a must. We were taken to the top by a golf cart from the car park, a really cool place

A beautiful place to explore and say a prayer while in Sedona. Easy walk from the parking area. There is a gift shop on premises

Simply exquisite setting. Even when crowded, chapel itself is peaceful and renewing. Gift shop has items priced for every budget so no one needs to leave without a meaningful souvenir. Great photo ops up and down the path.

This was one of the first stops we made when we arrived in Sedona, and we loved the architecture as well as the amazing view. We stayed for a Monday prayer service which was so beautiful and welcoming!! We got to watch the sunset during the prayer service as well through the large windows behind the altar. Perfect start to... More

You can see the chapel's overall design without going far from your car, but it is worth a short hike to the top (or pay for a lift) for the tranquility of the chapel itself and the awesome view from the forecourt.

Since you need to drive to this site, I included it on our trip only because I thought that my husband would appreciate the unique setting of the church. Our teen children liked the views from the church, but otherwise there are many other places in Sedona to see beautiful things.
