Wonderful hike Wonderful trail with scenic views. Nice trail to hike around on any day and as it seemed to me on my first visit to Sedona, some beauty you could look at all day. Will be back here next visit. Went early and not a lot of other people there.

This trail isn't the prettiest and most extravagant by any means. Although, there are great views of west Sedona. This trail was easy and this particular loop took 40 minutes. It also isn't very busy, and normally occupied by locals. This would be a great trail for dogs to walk.

I hike this trail about 4-6 times a week, and love it. There are many variations, and spectacular views from the 'Saddle'. Definitely do this one!

The Chimney Rock area gets lost to a degree by some of the other more impressive rocky outcrops around including Thunder Mountain and the Coffee Pots but it is worth visiting

The hiking loop is about a mile and a half and planning for maybe an hour will give enough time for the hike, (Upper) Chimney Rock Pass trail intersects Lower Chimney Rock trail and leads up to a moderate hike with steep inclines and more challenging pathways. The Upper trail will add more miles and time to the hike. The... More

This trail makes a terrific moderate hike with gorgeous views. Don't try it on a hot day. Bring plenty of water.

We have hiked this trail since our first visit to the Sedona area in 2001. This is a moderate trail over red rock and sand, with some rocky and steeper areas. A hiking stick is recommended for extra balance. Because the hike passes around Chimney Rock, the vistas are constantly changing. It affords a good view of Lizard Rock.

This trail is a few short minutes from the main street in Sedona, State Route 89A. There is free parking, and it is very easy to find the trailhead and to stay on the trail as it is very well marked. This is a short trail of less than two miles, and there are very good views of the surrounding... More

We started our hike at the Thunder Mountain Trailhead and followed signs that said Upper Chimney Rock. Our family consisted of two adults in their 40s, and five kids ages 6-11. Everyone enjoyed the hike. Just enough climb to make you feel like you were in the mountains. A few shaded spots to stop for a drink and take in... More

This was a less travelled trail so had some refuge from the crowds. We started at the trailhead of Andante Road at the end by the water tank. This starts as Andante Trail and intersects with Thunder Mountain Trail which overlaps Chimney Rock Trail for awhile. The signs were pretty clear so be careful to follow those. Although we assumed...
