can't get up the road unless you have high clearance vehical

love going up and parking in the lot close to the cow pies.. my favorite vortex, even though it is not listed as one. You can hike up to it and it is a lovely hike..

To reach Schnebly Hill Vista you have to drive Schnebly Hill Road and that road is not fit to drive on with a high clearance Jeep. It takes forever and its like driving on an endless obstacle course filled with boulders, large sharp rocks and deep ruts.

This in one of the best views of Sedona. If you choose to hike you'll have a 3-1/2 mile uphill hike listed as "hard" in several books. The road up is about 5-1/2 miles from Highway 179 and has gotten very torn up. In fact, we would recommend 4WD these days. We used to drive up easily, but no longer.... More

We were in a rental Jeep, but BEWARE once the pavement ends after 1 mile, road has huge potholes that could ruin your car or low SUV.

Schnebly Hill is a short easy drive off Rte179. It deadends to a parking area that leads to walking areas from which numerous photo opportunities exist.

Schnebly Hill provides gresat views of the red hills and the town of Sedona.Schnebbly Hill Road is over the creek after Tlaquepaque and up the hill to the left. Watch out that the paved area moves to a very rough road.

The paved road only goes up about a mile then you must have a 4x4 clearance vehicle to go farther. There is a turnoff where a few trail heads originate plus a place to picnic. The views are gorgeous. We saw quite a few people mountain biking. We did not go farther.

Easy short drive from town to a small parking lot. Excellent views of town and the surrounding rock formations. While we were there some hiking came in and said they saw some rattlers during their hike.

What a name for the best place for view, picnic, and plants that we visited in Sedona. People will find other sites as more spectacular but we thought Schnebly Hill had it all. If you have an offload vehicle, you could venture deeper but the vista picnic area was good enough for us. The fact that we hardly had to... More

Have been to Sedona many times but never up Schnebly Hill so curious what it was about. Booked a humvee with captains seats which made the trip much more comfortable. Definitely not for a car nor many four wheel drives due to the severity of the ruts and holes. Our driver explained the history and told us a lot about... More
