Yet again another glorious rock formation in grand display! Pictures cannot do it justice because the enormous size and the numerous mountains are unbelievable!

The Red Rock Scenic Byway is Arizona Highway 179 in and around Sedona. A nice and easy road with lots of pull outs for scenic views. Several interesting geological formations like Bell Rock & Courthouse worth a photo or even a mild hike or walk.

Amazing scenery of all the red rocks and buttes, and you can stop along the way to take a closer look. Hike or climb if you dare.

Came across this by surprise trying to make a circle from Cornville to Cottonwood. Great views & lots to see in the area. Wish we would have had more time to explore as it was a very scenic area. Loved it.

If time permits, do both. They intersect in the town of Sedona. 89A goes North to South or visa versa. 179 is West of Sedona

While Sedona has a number of fine dining and resort options, I tried to enjoy more of the outdoors there. I just marvel at its beauty and wanted to enjoy the outdoors vs the indoors. But pick your preference.

For sure. It's a well paved highway and very well maintained. Take the roundabouts slow through. They might be a tad tight.
