As you taste the wines in this town, do not miss this winery. One of the few that were open in the week, this was an excellent pick. The winemaker was warm, knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. She offered a variety of choices for tasting including whites, reds, ports and dessert wines. The atmosphere was positive, the wines were good, and... More

They have good white and red wines but the interesting (aka unique) part of this visit was the white and red port selection as well as the sangrias. Some very pleasing options. We left with multiple bottles to share with friends in Tucson. This winery came recommended by someone we met along the way based on the friendly staff and... More

Brought some friends who are just getting into wine to this winery. The small tasting room was really packed and we had to wait a while to be able to taste anything. Their wines were still tasty though! Try the port...it's fabulous!

The Wilhelm Family lives, eats, and breathes grapes. They endeavor to make the best wines possible. We enjoyed tasting all of their wines and bought one of their best red wines to cellar for a few years and see how it ages. This winery will always be on our itinerary when we visit the area.

If you are visiting the area, this is a "must stop by" location. The ownership is not only very welcoming, but the service and wine is worth the stop. We arrived with a party of 18 and had a wonderful experience. A sample included a new introduction of prickly pear jalapeño sangria. Although, not for sale yet, it is a... More

Visited July 16. Young man was very knowledgeable! We eye the only ones there. So that was nice. Hubby liked the $64 wine the best but nothing better than a good $20 wine. Nice experience overall. Will go back with family for sure! Thank you

My husband and I, along with one of our favorite couples, drove down to Sonoita for a day of wine tasting and cheese. We had a Groupon for the Wilhelm Vineyards and had been there several years ago. It is about a 55 minute drive to Sonoita and then a few minutes more to the vineyard from the turn off.... More

Wilhelm was one of a half dozen tasting rooms we visited on a recent visit to this wine region about about 90 minutes from Tucson. The tasting room is small with a bar that accommodates about six people and a couple of tables. The room is nicely decorated with multiple cute signs and sayings. The tasting room was staffed by... Certainly not a favorite from our Sonoita wine tasting experience. There was nothing captivating about Wilhelm except Hawkeye, the cute Pug. IMO, the wines were average in comparison to other wines that we tasted in the region. It is one of only 2 wineries that we did not purchase at least 1 bottle to take with us.

The sangrias are my favorite. It was a small tasting room but the staff was friendly and knowledgable. Overall we were very pleased.
