Played Karsten yesterday. The greens have large tracts of bare dirt and are very bumpy. It's like hitting to asphalt. ASU golf will be playing at Papago and looks like the old course is being neglected.

I visited Tempe for just one night and was looking to get a round in late afternoon, before the sun went down. My assumption was that this golf course would be great given it’s the ASU golf course and a Pete Dye design. It’s in...More

We enjoyed our round on this wonderful golf course in January 2018. The fairways and greens were in good repair although with dormant Bermuda grass it was somewhat brown. The layout is very playable at a reasonable length. Our playing time was good in about...More

I’ve heard from many people that this used to be one of the nicer courses in the area, however I don’t think that is the case anymore. The course was not in good shape, for example the sand traps needed sand badly, and the greens...More

Worst course in our trip. Not well maintained and the restaurant was poorly managed. I would not return here.

ASU should be ashamed to have this course have their name on the title The front 9 was a joke, the greens and the fairways hadn’t seen water since the last Monsoon. The back 9 was a little better, but certainly not worth more than...More

One Star is too much! The worst golf course I’ve ever played in my life. We all know it’s closing but at least give the golfer a heads up that it’s terrible. Honestly how Pete Dye has his name on this still is amazing and...More

Played the ASU Karsten course as a four some, first time for us and would recommend playing somewhere else. From the beginning there are no bags drops, someone did come out and haul the clubs but after the round there was no one in sight...More

Home of the ASU Sundevils this course, especially front nine is a joy to play. This course is being moved to Papago at some point in near future so be careful how far out you make plans.
