Public splash park near Mill Avenue/Tempe Town Lake

Little kids love this and the adults watching them. Fun place to cool off in the summer. Covered picnic table nearby and public restrooms. Free.

When my kids were younger they lived in splash pads. Every weekend we went to a different one. This one was their least favorite, even though it was the biggest and had the most stuff. I was never able to figure it out. It does get VERY crowded, so that could be it. Avoid peak hours of 10-12 and then... More

This is a free water playground with a slide, water fountains, a waterfall and other things to keep the kids splashing and having fun for hours. A great way to cool off on a blistering hot day. We had to drag the kids away, they were having so much fun. Highly recommended activity to keep the kids busy and also... More

We have been living in Tempe for 4 years and we start off our summer season with The Splash Playground. It's a great way to cool off and let the kids water play. There are lifeguards to watch the kids go down the slide. The slide can be very slippery too. Kids can play with the water cannons or just... More

Here on Spring Break. It is around 80 degrees outside yet this place is closed until the end of May! The "lake" you can't even swim in, every single pool in the entire area I've looked at is closed until summer, as if NOBODY wants to swim outside of 3 months a year?!?!? About to resort to going to my... More

Took the 7 year old with her friend and I think I had just as much fun. The allow you to bring in water which was great. After 4 hours we were through and exhausted but can't wait to go back.

We stopped at Tempe Town Lake Splash Park after visiting Hole in the Rock (its about 3 miles away). The kids loved it. Very clean, plenty of water, bathrooms, vending machines, covered picnic tables. We are from Chicago and visit the Phoenix area every summer, but hadn't been to Tempe in about 10 years. What a great improvement! We were... More
