This was a highlight of my Costa Rica trip, for sure! I hadn't ridden a horse in about 20 years (making my last time at 10 years old!) and honestly, the horses did go a bit fast at times, but I thought it was thrilling, if not mildly nerve-wracking. The waterfall and pool were beautiful and we spent a good... More

Went on this tour and had a fantastic time. The horses were cooperative, and the guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The lead guide spoke very good English. We were fed a light breakfast of fresh fruit and homemade breads, and juice or coffee. We ate under a nice canopy built in the forest. It had a place to wash your... More

This is a tour my husband and I have done multiple times now and we still love it. The tour is really well done and for the price you cant beat it. Such a fun day riding the horses to the waterfalls and spending the day swimming and jumping off the cliff into the waterfalls. Not to mention the great... More

Loved it!... I did it on foot, from the entrance is a 2km drive(4x4 recommended, but I think it's doable on a sedan on summer) then from the parking lot it's a 4km (2.5 mi) walk to the top, medium effort to get to the top but wont recommend for the elderly people to do it walking, beautiful 2 level... They now offer a truck service to get to and from the waterfalls... which ended up perfect for our waterfall wedding!! We were the only ones there for our private ceremony, and it was just magical. Could not have picked a more perfect spot. It really was a dream!! The falls are just breath taking, and the water is so... More

This was a wonderful adventure! The horses were selected based on your experience (our family had zero). The horses were gentle and easy to ride. We were served a lovely breakfast then it was off to ride up the mountain to see the waterfalls! They were absolutely breathtaking. You get to spend a lot of time swimming in the waterfall... More

Beautiful horseback ride to the falls. The guides were great and the horses easy to ride. The falls are beautiful, though it did get a little crowded after a while. When we first arrived, there were only a few of us, but as the 90 min or so we spent there, more people arrived and it was a little busy.... More

The horses were poorly trained, no helmets, guides were not helpful. We are both experienced riders and had other great rides in Costa Rica. My husbands horse twice kicked another riders horse including kicking the other riders leg. When my husband asked the guide for help or to change horses they said they could not. The waterfall was beautiful and... More

We were reluctant to come here due to the hike to the waterfall which is approx 4km up and 4 km down. However apart from the guided tour on horseback you can now be taken to the waterfall by truck for 26 US dollars return. Even when you reach the area of the sternum you still gave a 20 metres... This is atleast a 5 mile hike by foot and is rugged terrain. The waterfall was worth it though. Beautiful! Slippery so be careful when walking on rocks. I fell and banged up my leg.
