Since 2006. The school is located at Our Hotel Arca de Noe - 1 minute away from the main public dock in Santa Cruz la Laguna. Our teachers are highly qualified and flexible. Students can share different experiences with other teachers! It is possible. Our courses are individually or in a small group designed for everyone. All materials provided by the school are free. Our school includes free WIFI and a great place for coffee or just relax. Though we offer structure, we are always ready to accommodate student's particular needs and desires. The staff here are so helpful and accomodating, we only stayed a week but we learnt enough to touch up on some Spanish before out trip, only problem was staying at the awful hostel 'Free Cerveza' which added stress to our learning experience, but nevertheless couldnt have been more thankful for this place!

We so enjoyed our experience here. The staff is excellent and the view is unbeatable. I learned more in my two weeks than in an entire semester of Spanish. Everyone was very helpful and they also arranged our pickup and drop off at the airport. The tour of a neighboring town was a highlight, and much enjoyed by the whole... More

The staff at the Santa Cruz Spanish School were SO helpful and SO accommodating. It was very easy to coordinate with them before my trip via WhatsApp and email. My teacher (in a one-on-one setting) was phenomenal! All this in addition to being in one of the most beautiful settings on earth! Could not recommend this school more highly!

We knew from our very first class, Santa Cruz Spanish School was exactly what we'd been looking for. The entire staff has it all going for them. Magda especially is such an attentive and approachable teacher. We are on the same page and we just love her! Plus all of her great material adds that much more to our educational... More

I've studied Spanish in a number of schools but this was the best. The teacher was dedicated, the setting beautiful, the food prepared by the chef, Don Domingo, so good. I was here for the month of August and it was nice and cool, like Springtime. It rained some but only for part of the day or at night, mostly... More

The school is very good, and can cater to people who want to learn Spanish on a long term or short term basis. Magda is a very good teacher and you are able to get great conversations going with her which enables learning lots of new vocabulary. It's in a very peaceful location, which allows you the perfect setting to... More

Learning Spanish has always been on my "bucket list" and I was very satified with my experience at the Santa Cruz Spanish School. First of all, Guatemala is the perfect country to learn Spanish as a beginner because (as it was explained to me) the indigenous people speak Mayan as a primary language, with Spanish as their second language. Therefore,... More

I had a great teacher - Dolores - who was incredibly patient and very professional. She followed a plan and in two weeks I got a great basis for grammatical structure, past present and future tense and lots of conversational practise. Be warned - the lessons are totally in Spanish, so the few weeks I did beforehand on Duolingo held... More

My wife and I came to his school our second week in Guatemala after studying a first week in Xela. Let me say, the teachers here are excellent and all the staff are so kind! I worked with Pedro, and he is very professional patient. He speaks slowly and clearly as you learn to listen and will break his sentences... More

I spent one week with the Santa Cruz Spanish School and LOVED every minute of it. Wish I had been able to have more time. I took classes with Lidia, who was so kind and patient and such a great teacher. Lidia shared local life and history with me as well as teaching me Spanish language skills that I hope... More
