Not far southeast of Williams is Sycamore Canyon. It is quiet & secluded. There is an 11.5 mile rim trail with 5 trail heads. We went to the Sycamore Point trail. The road to get here is great as you can also fit in a couple other destinations like White Horse Lake, JD Dam & Dogtown Lake. Once you make... More

Pleasant hike with varied terrain. Accessible for those who are good condition and balanced. Not for people not used to long walks. Gorgeous alligator junipers and varied species. Beautiful rock formations and long distance views from the rim. TAKE WATER and lots of it. Fruit snacks help refresh.

It has been awhile since i have been to this canyon, but it is a nice canyon to see; I like Walnut canyon better myself, but go see it and check it out for yourself.

I took my Wife to the view point and watched her jaw drop, this has its own beauty, not like the Grand Canyon. You can take a couple of chairs and sit for hours just looking at the beauty. Its best to see this canyon in the afternoon so there aren't many shadows. You can go to the Williams Visitor... More

Totally worth the adventure. You start out in the tall cool pines and then travel down the trail to the edge of the high desert and CLIFF of the Sycamore Canyon. Offroad ATV is the best way to travel but normal high clearance vehicle would be ok as well. Very little people, great picnic spot and views galore.
