We visited on a quiet Monday morning, and it was beautiful. The drawback was the litter and filthy bathrooms. No one seemed to be maintaining the place, and my friend and I picked up empty beer cans and threw them away. It's disappointing that people can be so disrespectful of a place and other travelers.

petroglyphs if you have a boat. I have water skied down the canyon, cliff diving. Lots of trash and graffitti becoming obvious too bad

Young adults are always talking about Clear Creek, so I finally got there! I didn't jump off cliffs, but enjoyed sitting on the other side of the creek to watch others jump. It was a bit hairy driving in...a sturdy truck or 4 wheel drive would have been preferable to my car.

The kayak up Clear Creek is among the most scenic paddles I have ever done. Just a couple of easy miles each way.

While on a four week contract in Winslow I was checking out the local points of interest. This is definitely a locals hang out: screaming teens, graffiti, trash, and broken bottles adorn the beautiful landscape. It is one of the places that when I visit I don't feel comfortable. I definitely would not go close to this place in the... More

The local "swimming hole". The town of Winslow's little secret. Great swimming and picnic area. Lot's of newcomer's don't know about the "creek". People are surprised to find water 5 miles southeast of town.

Not a place for families. We were passing through on a trip to national parks and it was getting dark, so we stopped. We saw some very sketchy activity. It's way off the beaten path and mostly deserted. The place is pretty run down, which might be okay, but the people who were there were either living there or up... More

The locals gave directions that led nowhere, and the signs directing one to the park led to dead-ends. This park may be magnificent, but clearly the locals don't want tourists to find it. We gave up trying and headed home.

I've been to Winslow twice and, both times, I stayed in the McHood Park campgrounds. It's free! Plus the ranger (who isn't always there) is extremely helpful and friendly. He was willing to bring me worms from his own refrigerator to fish with AND can let you in on hot fishing spots. On the weekends, the park is busy and... More
