This place is gorgeous! The entry fee is $15pp. The drive to the start of the trail is certainly not fit for your low to the ground basic rental car so bring a 4x4. Also you need to be fit it is lot of steep stairs, but there are rest stops with tables and shade at each waterfall.

Wear hiking boots and bring a walking stick to see the beautiful views. Picnic tables available. We did come across a poisonous snake. There are man made pools.

There are many waterfalls in the area, but Viento Fresco is my favorite one to take friends when they come to visit. The trail to all the waterfalls is well maintained, but not "commercial"; it still feels like you are in the jungle. Many wonderful photo opportunities and several great places to each a snack or a picnic lunch. When... More

Our experience with Viento Fresco was certainly an enjoyable one. The hike in to see the several waterfalls was scenic, the forest was beautiful, and of course the waterfalls were attractive. As you wind your way from the main building to the falls, the scenery yields pastures and rolling hills that are also quite picturesque. Obviously the waterfalls are what... More

My wife and I visited through CAT (Central American Tours) whilst on our honeymoon. After visiting the falls, we found our 5 star resort much less appealing! The staff are a family and have owned the land for centuries. A leisurely hike down the mountainside through the rain forest led us by monkeys, toucans and a sloth! We swam in... More

Great wateralls to swim around and in the cool, clear waters. Fantastic horseback ride back up from the falls. Breathtaking view to all the hills around the falls. Peace breeze at the top. NOT one thing to dislike-well, maybe that they didn't let us stay there forever!
