This is a nice experience where you can learn about the findings in Jutland about viking settlements in history that have been recreated here in Ribe. There seems to be some care in creating an accurate representation of the environment and there are nice descriptions...More

I'm sorry. We didn't get it! "Interactive " people appear to be living statues. No eye contact and ALL looked bored. No interaction at all. I couldn't recommend this. Too expensive for a walk.More

pros: a small skansen with live attractions, toys and actitivties to try, kind staff, nice place, quality souvenirs in the shop, cafe, picnic places, fun for kids cons: small - but that's why it's enough 1-2 hours to get around

Outdoor museum depicting the live of Vikings in Denmark. Best to visit when the weather is dry as most of the exhibits are outdoors. Great for a family outing, explore the village and interact with the Vikings.

This center is one of our favorite memories of Denmark. We are grateful that places like this exist to preserve history and the way of life of previous generations. The buildings are very authentic and even have wood burning pits inside where applicable. My kids...More

A definite "do" is to get the experience card when you buy your tickets. With the card, the user can shoot an arrow, make a silver coin, and use a drawknife. The kids enjoyed interacting with the animals and staff.
