Living in Ireland, you don't always appreciate little landmarks around. This place is lonely, nice grounds and surrounding area, very quiet, nice to wander around!

This was the last castle to view on this trip. We were very happy with this castle and the town of Swords. Ideal town for a lot of fun and history.

This lovely old castle is well on the way to being renovated. The wall and buildings are built around a central square which used to keep livestock in. There are still some ancient fruit trees growing in the square and they continue to produce fruit....More

The restoration work that was carried out here is unreal. The cathedral section at the front is truly beautiful, the photos don't justify the hard work and effort that was put into it, This is something that has to be witnessed with your own eyes...More

We only had a few times in Swords so I decided to visit this castle. Not too big, but I could feel the authentic war atmosphere, with the castle surrounded by fort on war era. We can also see apple trees and wonderful spot for...More

It’s great to see this complex being restored. The church and tower have been restored and give a great insight into how people lived in medieval times. It was owned by Archbishop of Dublin and Swords became a very wealthy town on the back of...More

Swords castle is a nice building to look at and interesting to walk through the inner place of the castle. You don't need much time to visit it as the castle isn't that big. Nevertheless, worth a visit!
