Great insight into local history. Gerry former minor gave a great yarn and tales about the mine. Made feel very welcoming. We had tea and warm scone on site while trying to make out an outstanding view. Only the mist came to spoil it. Lovely...More

Our guide Gerry (a former mine worker) was engaging and informative. The experience was very atmospheric. Couldn't believed the mine only closed in 1990 and men were still working in those conditions up to then! It really makes you appreciate what strength of character they...More

Good Afternoon it is possible to do a section of the miners way but there is quite a lot of hill walking on this walk. Walking boots would be required as it can be quite wet at times. regards Margaret
