It seemed to be secured when we visited,, so we did not get in. Learned later you can go to top. Missed that. Impressive little compared to the giants of much of Europe. We took a pic and went skedaddle. Impressed by statues of Olympic champions and they don't rate a TripAdvisor listing...yet. It shoulld be quite an attraction for... More

Super venue, staff very friendly, the views from the top are great! It has a large area for the kids to run about and is perfectly safe, the castle has a very well documented history throughout and is well labelled. Worth a visit!

Definitely worth the climb to the top of the tower for great views of Nenagh and the surrounding area. Very informative story boards, and interesting to see how the tower was constructed with stone and wood.
