staff on hand to assist and tell story of the castle.... which is only the surviving "keep" of a much larger building. Great view from the top.

There is nothing left of the interior of the castle keep, the only section of the castle left at all. A trip to Nenagh Castle is no trip to Bunratty Castle by any stretch of the imagination.

A very tangible relic of what was once a most important castle. Located near the centre of the town, beside the excellent Steeple restaurant and the Heritage Museum. Well worth a visit.

Tedious renovation work has been carried out to make this a great historic place to visit. The castle is full of history and a must see for anyone interested in medieval architecture.

Great renovation and now tells the castle’s ( more a big tower) story ... plenty of stairs if you are going to the top of the tower, but worth it on a clear day.

You should go visit Nenagh Castle if you are Nenagh. Go all the way to the top. You have 360 degree views. It is worth the walk.

There are a lot of stairs to get to the top but is definitely worth the trip . . beware of the opening times as they are not too varied and it closes on Sundays and bank holidays so can't enter.
