I have Ardmore, Waterford many times. One of the highlights of this small village is its Cliff Walk. The walk is around 4-5km. The walk consists of beautiful views of the ocean and many historical sites such as a castle and many others. It is...More

A 5 Km walk that embraces all that is Ireland, green fields, spectacular coastline, ancient stories, ruins, churches, grave sites and more. It does help to have a local or a guide book to help explain the significance of some of the things you see...More

This is a great way to start the day with the dawn chorus, a sunrise and fresh sea air. The walk is not taxing but in wet weather a bit of care needed on the slippery surface

Do not miss out on this walk. The views are just amazing and there is quite a bit of history to digest on route. A pair of wellies would be recommended if the day is , or has been , wet .

What a difference fine weather makes ! Last year, staying at the excellent "Cliff House Hotel", we had undertaken this slightly challenging walk, after several rainy days, and apart from struggling just a bit with the uphill sections, we found conditions underfoot quite mucky -...More
