The Peleș Castle represents Romania's Royal Legacy. The construction started in 1873 under King Carol the 1st of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen and ended in 1914. It is built in the German Renaissance style. It was the first in Romania to have an electric powerd roof, vaccum cleaners,...More

Peles castle is a wonder of Neo-Renaissance architecture combined with the classic Romanian style, located high up on Sinaia's hills. A must-visit for any foreigners looking to understand a bit of Romanian history and architecture , or just a lovely walk to a historic location.

I had no idea this place existed until we stopped here. It's absolutely amazing and has the most beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The tour was very interesting. Loved this spot!

I'd describe it more as a palace than a castle. You can visit the grounds for free but if you wish to enter you must go with a tour. There are 2 options - first floor only or first and second floor. The tour guide...More

Worth the extra to see the first floor! We stayed in town and walked up but there is some parking. We ate lunch at the Carol Gastro Bierhaus at the castle. Good selection of beer and good food.

Hi Liran, I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to that. I haven't checked online. My friend and I just turned up and queued. Luckily for us the wait wasn't too long.
