Impressive statue unveiled in May 2014. Worth a visit. There are a number of statues and monuments in Fuengirola, but this is the most recent and I think the finest.

Informative plaque in Spanish and English would be much appreciated! Interesting statue of Ferdinand and Isabella, the Spanish monarchs who led the final push against the Moors in southern Spain in the late 15th century. They captured nearby Malaga and Grenada, completing the victory over...More

History well documented. Not particularly striking statute. No description or history on display so you need to google to find out its meaning. Average!

Not a lot to say. It's a statue in a busy square. We all know who Ferdinand and Isabella are and what they did. That's all!

We found that Fuengirola had beautiful monuments/statues all over the town, making it an interesting place to visit.

The "monument" is just a statue in a "tribute" to the monarch. Like many thing in Spain, trying to make great what is not great. They were so expensive and a reason for changing the name to the square. They are looking to the Castle...More
