One of my favourite places in Nerja is the Balcon de Europa. Whenever we are in this area we visit the lovely mirador and have breakfast or a beer there. Later, my wife walks around the local shops which is not really my cup of tea. Instead, I usually go for a walk. More often than not I wander down... More

This is a lovely beach with nice clear water for swimming. It is very attractive to look at from the Balcon, with the little white houses built into the rocks. There seemed to be plenty of sunbeds and parasols available to hire when we visited

This little beach is next to the Balcon de Europa with a steep access down the cliffside. There are no facilities and no shade in the mornings so it gets very hot, but the sand is soft and the sea shallow. The area adjacent is sadly very neglected with a shabby, derelict cafe and wilderness of trees and plants. It... More

This could be beautiful if the tumbledown, derelict restaurant was done up, the rubble removed and the railings repaired. The beach is tiny with a cute little house right by the waters edge, near some large rocks. Fishing boats sit on the sand and there is some nice planting but it really needs some TLC. Such a shame.

Took a walk down to this beach as was just outside our hotel. The beach was a very short walk, however it was difficult getting down the hills as they were very steep. This was made more difficult by the loose rocks which could make you lose your footing so maybe not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Once down... More

This is a very pretty cove but it has not been looked after and the cafe spoils it as it was not open when we were there and looks dilapidated.

Nice beach but looses sun late in afternoon. No facilities. OK for a swim or short sunbathe. Close to town for a drink etc. Bit steep for elderly.

A small sandy beach in Nerja. It is ideally located and close to the lovely town center and boulevard. Good restaurants and bars nearby.
