Visited almost by accident on a freezing February day. A friendly and warm welcome from the curator. He gave us a mini guided tour in almost faultless English and then left us to explore. It's is not very big and is crammed full of marionettes...More

From Asia, Europe and beyond the puppets are interesting. We missed the English translations! Worth a visit if with kids or if interested in this aspect of theatre.

Fribourg Museum of Marionette is small and can be "covered" in less than an hour but it's well worth a visit. The puppets are unusual and some are even quite creepy. I think there aren't too many places where you could find such a unique...More
