Visiting the Jurassic Coast we had to see this little museum full with fossils and heaps of information through a lovely exhibition. Some of the pieces are absolutely mind blowing, how they could find them! Not a big place, but it wasn't that busy at all when we visited, which we liked. There is a little gift shop there too,... This was a visit for my grandson who raves about dinosaurs and he spent much of the visit with his mouth open in awe. There is a lot of interesting information about the exhibits.

.......get in there and travel back in time for a few hundred million years. This place is a little gem. Kids love it (including the competition) and adults love because they have no choice. Some one has to help the kids with the spelling. This place has a great amount fossils including 75 kilos of Dino poo. The models are... More

Myself, my husband, my 7 year old and our labradoodle Alfie went here (fab that it was dog friendly). What a smashing little find. Our son loves dinosaurs and has been studying Mary Anning as part of the national curriculum so he found it really interesting. I loved the traditional nature of the museum, the passion of the owner and... More

Second time we've visited, yes the dinosaurs are basic but that all adds to the charm of this wonderful hidden treasure in Lyme Regis. Absolutely stuffed full of fossils, artefacts and knowledge. You'll struggle to leave not having learnt something! Great part is under 5's are free! Warm, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Experts on fossil hunting in the local area.... More

The owner has really put an immense amount of work into the fantastic displays of many types of fossils and stuffed animals. A very interesting interlude before taking a walk around the harbour and visiting the Aquarium. Then, of course, a little refreshment at one of the many watering holes.

I really loved visiting this museum. It's a remarkable creation by the owner; which for me was part of its charm. Also situated within a historic grade one listed building (which has section dedicated to its history). The attention to detail in cataloging and displaying all the fossils is remarkable to see, and there is so much to learn about... More

We enjoyed our visit, the owner was friendly and it was a good way to spend a morning. There are hundreds of brilliant fossils on display, as well as lots of other bits and pieces. Plenty of information and history, including personal accounts which were really interesting. It did seem a little tired, and could do with a good dust... More

What a lovely little museum of fossils and stuffed animals. The owner has put a lot of love and time into this place, and with many fossils being found locally it's enthralling. It's quaint and certainly not modern, but the fascinating history and well set up dinosaur info was very good and we spent a happy hour in here. The... More
