A great shop for collecting tidbits & fossils from the trip! I bought so many jewels, rocks & fossils for the family - all proudly say on our windowsill now! A great memento from the trip considering we failed to find our own fossils... Perhaps next time we will also take the Fossil Walk everyone kept telling us about !!!

Whilst visiting Lyme Regis we called into this shop which is quite large and has an excellent display of fossils and other items such as jewellery with prices for all pockets. Many of the larger items are set out in display cabinets and are clearly priced and described. Well worth a visit.

Collecting minerals and fossils for about 10 years, I look for the more uncommon items. There were certainly those at this shop, as well as the more common ones. There is a wide range of items and prices, and it is a nice big shop. Everything was of reasonable price and the staff were helpful.

Overpriced.. staff snotty, do not buy their over priced fossil hammers, cheaper at the other fossil shops and the staff are much nicer .

there's a lot of local fossils on display, and the staff are very helpful. I found a better than average ammonite embedded in some rock, and they suggested some ways of enhancing it. There's some pocket money fossils, and also some VERY expensive collectors items for sale...

An outstanding shop full of goodies so good in fact that we bought our daughter a quirky little piece of fossil type jewellery from.We spent ages in here looking at all the fossils which always look so decorative.

Some of the reviews here, like mine, are about the fossil walks led by Paul from Jurassic Gems 9not the Old Forge). I can't find out how to review Jurassic Gems directly- they don't seem to be set up for review - so I'll add my post here. We called into Jurassic Gems (down the alley to the side of... More

Paul (from Jurassic Gems in Drakes Way) led our fossil hunting walk on Monmouth beach and he was both an enthusiastic and very knowledgable guide. The group started We in Drakes Way by the shop and then walked down to the beach where Paul showed us some examples of what ee may find and explained just enough about the beach... More
