We visit once a month when visiting family and my son loves it. It’s always quiet they have a certain beach that dogs are allowed on and when they aren’t allowed on. It’s stoney and sandy in places

Ok, I am not going to beat about the bush. Dovercourt which is in the Harwich peninsula is mostly a dump. This beach however is it's one saving grace. It's clean and quiet and can be quite pleasant. It goes on for miles. Right from...More

We had been to visit the Quay and came upon this beach by accident. What a lovely clean sandy beach. It stretches for a long way and has concrete pathways on several levels. A great place to walk your dog, or a day on the...More

Dovercourt beach is a gorgeous beach for anyone who loves the seaside. It's quieter than some of the neighbouring areas along the coast but that just adds to the appeal. No fun fairs or rides so not for the thrill seeker amongst you, it's just...More

A nice beach with lots for old and young. From sitting and watching the views across to Felixstowe to rock pooling. Lots to see with ferries, the docks etc. Lots along the front with historic buildings and a play area.

Pleasant beach for a walk or picnic.Nice gardens on cliffs behind with park area but rather spoilt by the view of the large cranes at Felixstowe opposite.Beach is fairly well sheltered.
